In-Depth Health Analysis for Underwriting

Many people interested in Long Term Care Insurance coverage have found that the full health underwriting required by most major insurance carriers has created much unwanted rejection when coverage is denied. The reality is that most Long Term Care insurers do a complete medical underwriting on each applicant.

In a Good Morning America interview on the subject of Long Term Care, Tyler Matheson, editor of Money Magazine, commented that as many as 30-40% of the applicants for Long Term Care coverage were declined. This problem is very frustrating to couples when one spouse is approved, and one is declined.

Aside from the issue of rejection, a medical decline from one company may affect a client's ability to obtain Long-Term Care coverage from another company, much like a credit denial affects the ability to obtain credit elsewhere.

LTCI America Inc., in conjunction with the major Long-Term Care insurers, has developed and is now offering a pre-underwriting review of medical histories along with consultations with our underwriting staff. Barbara Wells, LPN, heads up our underwriting staff. Barbara is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 25 years of Long-Term Care underwriting experience for both Aetna and The Travelers. Her experience and knowledge is an invaluable service for individuals seeking to obtain Long-Term Care Insurance coverage who may also have some medical problems or issues.

medicalrecords

To access the underwriting service, the process is simple. Print out and sign the medical record release for each applicant. Fax or mail this release to our offices. Your records will be reviewed by Barbara Wells and her staff. Your records are submitted for pre-approval to those "Top Ten" Long Term Care insurers most likely to accept your health profile.

As soon as an insurance carrier pre-approves your health profile, we will notify you. You then can complete an application with that carrier. This is a particularly valuable service to couples, as approval with one insurer for both spouses can mean discounts ranging from 10% to 50% on each annual premium.

The total cost for this service is $40.00 per person. This includes the fee that your doctor charges for a copy of your medical records.
